We went to visit Harvey this morning. Today was one of the really challenging visits, in that it wasn’t clear he recognized us or cared that we had come. He said a couple of things that made no sense. He squeezed my hand and that was it for the visit.

We have two trips to the hospital the first week in August – that means that we COULD be scheduled to see him four times next week. We’ll need to study when we need to be at the hospital and make some decisions. The only thing absolute at this point is that we’ll visit again this Saturday.

I just came back from spending time at the cafe. My server came and got me, telling me ‘my place’ had become vacant and helping me move. I hugged her. I finished two drawings and started a third.

I moved my laundry on and off my balcony several times today. Right now it’s ON the balcony. I’m hoping that things will be dry enough to bring them in before bed and they’ll finish drying overnight. The rainy season is a challenge, but I only actually do my undies and incidentals where I’m worried about the rain. Brian does my sheets and towels because he has washing machine (but no dryer). His balcony is large enough that unless the rain is blowing in his direction, he can get things dry even if it rains. I take the rest of my clothes to the laundry service. Laborious, but it works. :0)

I met a man and his two sons on the elevator today. The older man (he may have even been as old as I am (imagine that!) asked me how old I was. I told him and he exclaimed that I looked to be in really good shape (my back was straight, he mentioned in particular). It made me feel good that he thought I was doing okay for an old lady…
