My posts tomorrow (Friday) will be delayed. I’m having an exam in the morning and will be out of commission until the afternoon. I’ll write again when I can.
Have a wonderful evening tonight and an even better day tomorrow!

Freezing and below in the mornings. 60s in the afternoons today through Friday. Rain changing to snow Saturday. Wear short sleeves and flip flops. Carry a coat, boots, and a snuggly hat.
This is the ‘BE FLEXIBLE’ time of year. It isn’t any particular season. You can’t depend on forecasts or even how it is when you look out or stand on the porch. What it is NOW will change in an hour or less.
Good practice for survival in our world today – Pay attention. Be prepared. Bend and flow with things when you can. Be strong when you have to. Weather the storms. Cherish the quiet day. Give lots of hugs.
Live every minute. Be in the moment. Take nothing for granted. Drink it in. Savor.

I just called my friend, Kay. (She’s the friend who fell and broke a bone in her back recently.) I talked to her husband first, and then he gave the phone to Kay.
She finally was approved to have “vertebroplasty.” Vertebroplasty is a procedure in which a special cement is injected into a fractured vertebra — with the goal of relieving your spinal pain and restoring your mobility.
When I went to see her recently, she was in pretty bad shape. She had had the procedure and initially felt better, but was having a hard time. She was in pain, she was disoriented, had word retrieval problems, and her husband said she had been hallucinating. He fixed food for her, but she would only eat a bite or two. I was worried that she was suffering some kind of complication.
I just talked to Bud, and then Kay.
She is feeling a whole LOT better! Her voice sounds normal – for the first time since she fell. She is COOKING dinner for them tonight! She isn’t hurting! She feels HUNGRY!
WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!
I’m so relieved. We are in celebration mode.

My husband and I have several errands this morning, and then we are going to splurge for lunch, having cheeseburgers and we’ll share some fries. Since this is the last day I can eat ‘normally’ before I have an exam Friday, I plan to enjoy every bite. :0)
It’s cold here (34 degrees F.) but the sun is shining brightly and it will be in the 50s this afternoon – wonderful for a day in January.
We watched the Alabama vs Georgia football game on television last night. Amazing game. I don’t usually cry about football games, but emotion was spilling over on the field – and in our living room. Even my husband was tearing up at some of the players.
Have fun today.

I’ve lost around 3 lbs lately. Nothing to write home about, but enough to be encouraging in my efforts to lose the lard. I figure that I’ll ‘keep on keepin’ on’ and see if this trend continues. :0)
My efforts to do my yoga stretches MWF are a bit spotty yet. Things keep coming up, and then the opportunity passes. It’s a reasonable excuse and I’m going to use it – at least for now. This afternoon is my next opportunity.
My goal for this year is for there to be significantly less of me, and what is left healthier and more fit, more flexible with better balance and more stamina.

hahahahahahahahahahahahah

I LOVE this drawing!
I hope you’re having a great Sunday.
Our weather is 38 degrees F., gray, and drizzly. A wonderful day to stay inside a warm, dry home.
I’m hoping to be bitten by the cleaning bug today. It bites me regularly every 30 years or so, and is definitely due. Otherwise, the grudging, the ‘clean-as-mandatory’ rule is in effect. Maybe a book listing plausible, creative excuses about not cleaning would be a best seller. I can’t be the ONLY person on the planet that looks for them. :0)
My husband requested spaghetti and garlic toast for dinner tonight, so that will be in the works, too.

This makes me want to go up and try something in my art room. Maybe today.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
