A Visual Merriment

I’m having a nice morning. Brian and I shared a breakfast of sliced sausage and sliced chicken with a fruit that looked like cantaloupe, but was much sweeter, and the best pineapple I have ever eaten. Such a delightful start to the day!

Eat This Not That

I came back to my place and did exercises with my water bottles, adding “Funky Dance Music” from computer to add fun, rather than counting reps. I’ll do another session of that later this morning. It was a great session. 😁

I’ve been finding new artists on Substack that are really speaking to me with their art. I’ll share it with you as soon as I can gather more of their work.

I published an article on Substack called,
“Entrepreneurship on a Cart in Chiang Mai – Recycling and a Flower shop + My Sketches”

Yesterday when I entered the cafe, the “reserved” sign was on ‘my’ table. This time, when I started to go find another spot, the LADY server stopped me, pointing to my table and me. Honestly, how do I thank these wonderful people who go out of their way to make me feel so welcome there? She’s the one who does THIS to keep the condensation off my fingers and my paper –

Here are the painted sketches I finished yesterday –

Today I’ll sketch some thank you cards and some Christmas cards first. Then, if I have more time, I’ll start on another full sized sketch.

This is the sweet little gecko I found in my bathroom sink. He was a little over an inch long, I think, and really fast. I took some pics and then used a piece of cardboard and one half of my puzzle box to scoop him up and then transferred him carefully to my balcony. I really don’t mind him in my place, but I’m afraid I’ll inadvertently step on him…

  1. Gasp!! The patchwork kitty sketch just put the biggest SMILE on my face, Linda! And the Thai broom, and the Thai man and recycled cart, and the artist/brush quote at the end!
Oh, and the reserved table for you with pretty wrapped cup! I mean, it’s blissful there for you dear friend!! I am simply stunned!
The way you moved gecko outside too! Priceless.

    • Can you see me smiling, Sheila. What a nice note you wrote. You certainly made my day. I’m really glad you liked the sketches – plus all the other nice things you said. I’m so lucky to be where I am, having the luxury to shape a life that brings me joy. You mean a lot to me, my friend.
