We had the best visit in a long, long time with my husband this morning. I saw the man I married for a brief glimpse and it was truly wonderful. He liked my blouse. He liked my haircut. He said his favorite painting on his happy wall was the one I painted for our 57th anniversary. (The one to the left of the Calvin & Hobbes painting.) He said a lot of other stuff that didn’t make sense, but I can live on this for quite a while.

This is the painted sketch I finished today, plus 4 more Christmas cards.
Because of Heidi’s and my conversation yesterday which included how wonderful all the butterflies were in Chiang Mai, plus Sheila’s comment about butterflies, I’m starting a new series, where I do a regular sketch, but then add one of the butterflies of Chiang Mai to the drawing. We’ll see how it goes and what you think.

Women’s Health
Please say a prayer or have a good thought for my former hair stylist, Michael, who had a stroke a few days ago. We hope he recovers quickly and well and can return to work sometime soon.

What a great visit with your Harvey! I know you will enjoy that visit for a long time to come. I am so happy for you.
I love your blouse and your sketches. I look forward to seeing the butterflies on your sketches. Butterflies always seem somewhat magical, and they are beautiful. Your Christmas cards are also beautiful.
Praying for Michael and a quick and full recovery. (Donna)
Thank you, Donna. I appreciate your prayers for Michael. Yes, it was wonderful to actually see my husband again for a brief time. I’m glad you like the Christmas cards, and I hope you’ll enjoy the butterfly series.
Superb news, Linda! I love that Harvey was able to express more of his true self to you, and describe how much he loved your blouse and hair style. Bravo, Harvey!!
I love your butterfly idea! I will be waiting on each future post with baited breath! Ah!
I love all the sketches and cards too. I’m glad you met Heidi! What a fortunate turn of events.
And yes, prayers for stylist Michael. I sure hope he recovers as his livelihood depends upon the full use of his hands, standing for long stretches, etc. a stroke can impact all of those abilities.
Thanks for your beautiful caring comments, Sheila. You’re a good friend.
