______________

We spent almost the entire day at the hospital today. Harvey developed a fever and was having trouble breathing with congestion in his lungs, so they took him to the hospital by ambulance. Brian and I met Harvey and his nurse there.

They have him on antibiotics now and will probably suction his lungs today. They are running more tests and are keeping him overnight. He was really spaced out and coughing a lot. This developed very quickly, so we’re not sure what is going on. To say today was stressful is an understatement.

We made sure he was in a room in the ICU after he was released from the triage ER, and that his nurse was comfortable. We talked to the doctor.

We will go back to the hospital in the morning to see what is happening. Hopefully, the antibiotics and the suction will have broken the fever and have him feeling more comfortable and coughing much less.

___________

I collapsed when I got back home and slept for about 45 minutes. Then I went to the cafe to get a latte and destress.

These are my latest

Brian and I will share dinner very soon and then I will probably go to bed earlier than usual to see if I can get enough rest to hit the gym in the morning and see what the day holds. Not sure whether I will be able to have my massage or not, but we’ll vacate so the housekeeper can do her magic.

_______________

I hope all of you are doing well.

I am so sorry about your Harvey. I am sure that was not easy to see him that way, and I know you must have been exhausted, as worry and stress drains a person rather quickly. I will be watching for further updates on how things are going and will be praying for you and your family. Take good care of yourself. Your sketches are just beautiful! (Donna)

Sorry to hear Harvey is not well. I hope the antibiotics soon kick in and he feels better soon.

    I love all your drawings.

    Take care.

  3. I am so sorry to hear this. Keep us posted please and do take care!

  4. Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about Harvey having to go to the hospital! It sounds like he is in good hands, but so nerve wracking for both you and Brian! I’ll keep you all in prayer. 🙏🏻

  5. Oh, noooo… I’m so sorry to hear this about dear Harvey. I hope he will heal and regenerate. I will definitely keep him in my highest thoughts (prayers) and believe for his best. As Donna said, I imagine this was stressful for you and I’m so glad you took the nap and went to bed earlier too. Taking good care of yourself during times like this seems counterintuitive and hard to do, but it’s exactly when you must. Yes, just the “not knowing” and change of routine, going to the hospital instead of the nursing home, etc. all takes a toll on us whether we realize it in the moment or not.

Wonderful to see your sketches, as always, and yes, if that relaxes you (and I know it does), and gives you JOY, of course, continue. Just know you’ve got our love (because it isn’t about permission of course), to skip the sketching if you want to rest more. My gosh, this is a lot, Linda. You’re still awesome, you know? HUGS!
