This morning our rain suits got a good workout. It’s down to a ‘regular rain’ now, rather than a blowing harder rain. We’ve been to the gym, had breakfast, I’ve had a really nice massage, and we’re spending time at my place before we go to the cafe to get out of my housekeeper’s way. (She’s at Brian’s place now.)

I’ve put my guitar in its case and propped it up in a corner where it will stay until after dinner. I’m finally making a bit of progress with the C progression of chords on my guitar. I’m remember the order of the chords and I remember where my fingers go without checking my diagrams, but I’m still really slow. I move from one chord to the next, trying to get a clean sound. I can usually try the round of 4 chords three times before my fingertips throw a fit. Then I put the guitar down, go do something else, and then pick it up and try again later.

I’m finding lots of things I want to share with you. I’m trying to make some kind of a plan on how to group the different things. It’s wonderful to know that there are so many great things out there that we can enjoy.

I think you did good on the hand portrait. I doubt I could do anything near to looking like a hand. I love the Thai scene. I still have several of your previous sketches to try. Maybe tomorrow!
Yes, I saved the rain suit. It’s still good, though it has a small tear and the drawstring is coming out of the hood. It’s very roomy now 😁 – fitting over me down past my knees and my larger carrier. Thanks for the kind words about the hand portrait. It was really out of my comfort zone, and I am in awe of people who can draw ANY body parts or actual portraits. The Steeple was difficult, too. Thanks very much for the picture of the axolotls. I don’t remember if I mentioned that in my comments. I’m in love with them. I found a photo of one that really grabbed me and I’ll try to draw it.
I’m in awe of all the artist portraits you share, Linda. Yours and others. I’m such a novice! But yes, I specifically took the photo of the axolotls for you, knowing you love them. I wish they had been in a better position!
I don’t get to the art studio that often though I can walk there. It’s so expensive to paint tbings. O
I hear you on what things cost, Sheila. I got a child’s beginner’s watercolor set of solid paints that I use. The sketchbook has 100 pages, and then I have a beginner’s set of colored pencils. I hope you can get supplies that help you create and don’t cost a fortune.

sorry about the comment box. I’m wearing a jeans vest now that I have had for years. I’ve always worn in open (not being able to even THINK about actually wearing it closed. Today I can button the buttons and it’s roomy!
