Today is Harvey and my 57th wedding anniversary. We’ve been through a lot in 57 years. All I knew was that I wanted to spend my life with him. Even though I threatened him through the years with calling the bulldozer guy to dig a hole in the back yard to throw him in, the love and commitment have remained strong. At 57 years, we have a good start now…

Shout-out to Donna, who recently celebrated her 58th anniversary!

I just recently returned from the cafe. It was starting to rain, and I just got home before the rain got pretty hard. It has since rained twice. I just look out my brand new windows and grin. Not a leak anywhere!

This is one of my latest painted sketches. This sweet lizard ‘lived’ in a pot that had a big tree in it at the cafe. I don’t know what happened to him when the front porch was torn up for the redo. I hope he’ll be back. I didn’t even know he was there until Brian got a picture of him and showed him to Harvey. I had him send the picture to me so I could try to draw him.

Today I started another in my Thai street series – this time a broom seller. I hope it turns out okay.

I’m going to take a break after finishing this and do my water bottle exercises for the day. I’m also going to try to get in practicing my guitar…

Sending love and hugs for your special day. X

Happy Anniversary to you and your Harvey! Life is a journey that is better, I think, when it is shared with someone you love and the commitment for better or worse.
Thank you for the shout-out for my 58th anniversary.
Happy for you that your windows no longer leak, and you can watch and enjoy the rain without worrying about leaks.
I just love the lizard in the planter. It is so cute, even though I am scared of lizards. Your other pictures are also cute, especially the cat planter. I look forward to seeing the broom vender picture.
Hope you enjoyed the day practicing the guitar. (Donna)
