Isn’t this lovely?

Brian and I finally feel well enough that we went to the gym this morning for the first time in a week. We are still coughing, but it’s just leftover stuff now. It was good to be back to our normal schedule this morning, although it seemed like the half hour walking went slow for me. Shows how much I NEED it!

I’m going to head for the cafe soon, getting money to pay my massage people and the cleaning lady, on the way.
I had a really nice time with the lady who owns or manages the hotel connected to the cafe yesterday. I had brought my older sketchbook and she had time and wanted to look at my stuff. I’ve never had anyone ask to do that before, so it was really a thrill. After she looked a while, I told her about the “Thai Street Series” I was trying to do. She was interested, so I riffled through the sketches to find them. I held my breath when we got to the shrine, because Brian told me that I could offend someone if they didn’t like it. The wonderful thing was that she was pleased with it. She liked the calm and reverent feeling I had gotten. I was so relieved. She said the one thing that was missing was some moss, so I added some to the painting this morning.
She wants to draw, too, and even bought a sketchbook. I encouraged her to do it. It would relieve her stress.

Our Mindful Life
Oh, yes!! Both for getting back to the gym and for the lady wanting to see your sketches! Fantastic, Linda!!
I’m back to exercising first thing in the moythen sipping hot to warm water til eating at noon, 1, or 2pm — I am adding the exercise and hot water to the daily routine. We have a personal trainer who lives a few blocks away but since covid she only does videos on YouTube! So, I am learning from her, though I hope to meet her in person soon. She goes to the same coffee shop we walk to but we haven’t synced up yet.
Tell that lady that I am learning sketching from you too! It may encourage her a bit. Hugs!!
Our live radio show is going good! @unsolicited_radio on YouTube! I am livestreaming right now! Ha!

I’m glad to hear you’re exercising first thing in the moythen – Now we BOTH are again. That’s good. I hope what you’re doing makes you feel good. It would be great if you got to meet the personal trainer. Since then, I met a Chinese man who wants to draw, too! Soon there may be a whole group of happy sketchers! I’m delighted to hear the radio show is going well. Enjoy every minute.

Well, it was going well until it wasn’t.
I guess I will have to simply share it as a video and not as a livestream. But I had such the dream of being my own disc jockey. Waaaa!
Yay for you, Linda! I can see it now, you with a circle of happy sketchers sitting around all happy like! Sweet!

Well, shoot. A video will have to do unless/until you can figure out the lifestream. I have to admit I was thinking about how to discourage people wanting to talk the whole time I’m at the cafe. I go there to sketch, and I need to concentrate in order to do that. I appreciate the people wanting to see what I’ve done, and I’m happy that they are deciding to try it themselves, or give themselves permission to do something they have been wanting to do, but I don’t want this to become a problem. Most days I could just go to the other end of the cafe and tell Brian I’m going back home. Today, though, for example, we go to the cafe to get out of the way of the cleaners, so we need to stay there. I’ve decided to put my carrier and my art backback in the chair next to me, filling it up so all that would have to be moved for someone to join me. Hopefully, that is a quiet way to ask people to give me some space…

That might work, Linda. Hope so! I mentioned it to Richard and he said something to the effect of, “that’s how people are there.” It made me think of what you’ve written before about how friendly and kind everyone is… maybe this is the only downside to that? I tell ya, every time I turn around the yin and yang symbol is right again! Balance in everything, and sometimes we don’t like the way things balance themselves out!
