This photography is so detailed it looks like a painting, doesn’t it?
______________

I’ve been lazy this morning.
We went to the gym, and then shared a breakfast burrito – chicken, avocado slices and salad wrapped up in a tortilla. YUM! My laundry is out drying on my balcony. Jets have been flying over this morning – not a usual occurrence – and they are quite loud, but it’s not enough to spoil my mood.
The weather is really nice here, so I’ve been messing around on the computer while enjoying a combination of open windows, nice breeze, sunshine, and a fan. I keep closing my eyes and smiling, just enjoying this wonderful time. AHHHHHHHH!

Colorations – The Art of Learning
I want to do some painting today. Yesterday was way too busy to even THINK about that, so today I’ll enjoy trying to make up for lost time.

Yoga stretches are on tap for today. I have found myself making some excuses for not doing them, or my water bottle exercises in the mid afternoon on alternate days, so I’ll make a point of doing them earlier today.

This is John Butler. My son, Brian, showed me this website last night after dinner. He says it’s a really good source for learning how to meditate. I have been spending several minutes each day just sitting quietly, feet on the floor, eyes closed, thinking about something I’m thankful for. I would like to expand that, and this might be a good source –
It’s called, “The Common Sense Guide to Meditation (Part 1) – John Butler’s Simple Meditation Method.” I’m going to listen to it tonight. I thought you might be interested in checking it out, too.

I’m seeing that winter weather will raise its head again across much of the U.S. this weekend. I hope that you are able – if your weather is being cooperative now – to be able to get out for a bit and enjoy the reprieve…
Stay safe and warm.
The burrito sounds like it was very delicious! I love it when we go out for one too! But so far my husband and I eat one each. My daughter usually gets one in a bowl (so no carbs). I’m going to try one that way next time. The place is only a mile away but we don’t get there very often.
I hear you about the jets. Ugh
We still have snow on the ground and some ice, so we still aren’t walking outside yet.
I have been doing some yoga stretches to help ease my neck and shoulder thing, and the cat/dog stretches have helped the most (I forget the yoga name for that). I also do forward bend. It helps too!
I love the common method book for meditation. After almost doing too much meditation (if that’s truly possible), I think simple is enough/better. Unless one wants to live as a monk, this is good.
I am enjoying this Tibetan book of living and dying. It covers meditation too, but it is more about the philosophy (so far).

Apparently the jets were showing off. They have stopped now. I hope you don’t get MORE snow and ice! Good for you on the yoga. I moved my stretching session up today and that seemed to help me stay motivated, rather than getting tired, or some other excuse. I’m glad you’re enjoying the living and dying book. I’m going to listen to the youtube video this afternoon or this evening.

Jets and planes are the bane of our existence. Ha! (I never used to notice the noise from them until Richard cane into my life over 20 years ago. He complains constantly about them.)
I have tinnitus now. I think that’s why any loud noises bother me more now too. Perhaps one day we will have quiet aircraft, like those lovely electric cars! Ha!
