One Niman Shopping Mall – Chiang Mai

One Niman is my favorite organized mall. It’s outdoors. Instead of large ‘flagship anchor stores’ this is a group of small, independent shops. There is something for everyone here. They have live music shows, usually on the weekends. There are clinics, barbers and salons, spas, street food, a hotel, a convention center, restaurants, pharmacies, bars, fitness places, pilates classes, arts and crafts, art galleries and more. There are 5 floors. We have been twice and I’ve just gotten started.

The whole feel of the place is like you have traveled to Europe. The architecture, layout of things, decorative touches, all speak of old world, luxury, grandeur.

There is activity everywhere. They have ‘theme’ nights – like all things Japanese, for example.

These are the food markets.

I find this place fascinating and plan to keep going back over and over until I at least see everything once. I love it!
