I love Helen Harris’ work!

I have had a busy day. We went to the gym, had breakfast, then I prepped for my housekeeper to come tomorrow. I got a haircut this morning (!!!!) and ate my special lunch when we got home. Just as I finished that, it was time for me to head to the cafe. I have just been home a few minutes and soon it will be time for dinner!
Here is my haircut. I love it that I can just put my fingers in it and “swizzle” it, and I’m ready to go after blowing it dry. It’s also not blowing down into my eyes in the buffeting winds we’re getting lately now. :0)

This is my latest sketch –
I know it’s weird to have painted a Christmas sketch for Harvey’s Happy Wall this early, but you already KNEW I was weird. :0). I found this design and wanted to go ahead and get it done so I can flatten it to add to his wall next month.

It will be interesting to see how Brian handles our new routine of my eating a lunch tomorrow. Usually, on Fridays, since we both have our condos cleaned during the day, Brian spends time at my place while I get my massage. I come home, change clothes, and we share a special treat before going to the cafe to get out of the way. Tomorrow, I guess he will get my meal from downstairs and get a treat for him (I hope). We’ll have to hurry, because we usually leave here around noon. The meal isn’t delivered until about 11:40….

The nursing home has sent two videos lately of Harvey feeding himself breakfast. This is a big deal, since he has a nasal feeding tube and they have been concerned that he will choke or aspirate trying to eat real food. We pointed out that he has eaten the French Fries, pies, and pizza we have had delivered to him without problems, so they agreed to feed him two eggs daily and see how he did. These last two videos showed him eating “Joke” – a rice porridge with some kind of meat and some wonderful flavorings. He likes it, so Brian wrote his nurse to let her know. She responded by having more delivered for the 2nd video. Good all around.
