I’m just back from the cafe. It started pouring just before I was about to go. I decided to delay my departure and see if the rain let up. Meanwhile, Brian texted me that he would walk me over when I was ready. See what a wonderful son he is? I got ‘my’ spot at the cafe and sketched comfortably for a couple of hours, finishing one sketch and starting two more.

I had my gym time this morning without the companionship of the Ugly American. One can HOPE he’s gone, but I won’t hold my breath.

I made a bit of progress on the chameleon puzzle, finally getting the two sides to meet. It doesn’t even bother me that it might take forever to complete this one. It adds so much nice color to that part of the room. :0)

My friend Heidi leaves the country tomorrow 🥲 but she texted me to see if I could meet tomorrow before she leaves! I’m really looking forward to another face-to-face meeting. She will be back sometime next spring.

I found a piece of bubble wrap in my closet and I’ve been popping bubbles like a fiend since I came home. This is probably a sign of my decline, but I just LOVE popping the bubbles! 🫧 😜 🤣

Ha! Yes, as we know, Brian is definitely a KEEPER! Yay, Brian!! Love that kid. And yeah, I know, I know. He’s not a “kid” but a grown up, but you know. Our children will always be “our kids.” Right?
I hear you about Heidi. I wish we could come over for a few months to visit. It’s now on my wish list. I do so enjoy your Chaing Mai posts thought I don’t comment on all of them.
Linda, I am sincerely saying that the ugly American will leave (your experience) as soon as you can master complete ignoring of him. Now, HOW he leaves your experience will be up to the Universe… hehe
We have similar situations going on here that I can’t speak of publicly, so trust me, I put that whole “like attracts like” philosophy to the test. Your Gratitude meditation is key. Ignoring is the other part of that equation. And you know you’re so darn happy with all other aspects of your newfound lease on life, that it’s not so hard to master the “ignoring” part.
Enjoy your “last” “for now” visit with Heidi and tell her “safe travels” for me! Love the chameleon progress!!!
Thanks, Sheila. Tomorrow will be fun seeing Heidi one more time. I hear you about our “kids” and totally agree. I will look back with a fond farewell for the guy at the gym. I’m trying to concentrate my energy on the treadmill, rather than aggravation. Nice to get a break from him today, though. I would love it if you visited Chiang Mai. I could show you all I don’t know about the city!😁
I cheered when I read he wasn’t there today.
Love your sketches as always.
Enjoy meeting up with Heidi before she leaves. And knowing she hopes to be back next spring is something to look forward to.
Enjoy your bubble popping. I wouldn’t need any encouragement to join in with that. 😂
Ah! I knew I liked you, Liz.🙂 Bubble wrap poppers unite! I cheered, too, when the time was almost over and he hadn’t come. I’m glad you liked the sketches. Yeah, I couldn’t be happier I will get to see Heidi again 😁
