I have been to the gym, showered, eaten breakfast, and gotten my wash out on the drying rack on my balcony. I should have a quiet day today. I’m looking forward to finishing at least one sketch and starting another.

Tomorrow I have a routine doctor appointment, fasting, as soon as I get cleaned up from the gym, so I will be late posting. I’m hopeful that the report will say my numbers have improved a lot. We’ll see. All appendages crossed, including my eyes…

Yesterday when we were visiting Harvey, there were a gazillion white water birds in one of the rice fields. I just love these birds! They look kind of like egrets or herons or the like with long beaks, long necks, sleek bodies, and very long legs. They also have a bit of black on their wings. They follow in groups behind the workers who driving along, tilling the rice field with an ancient tractor with water wheel type wheels, churning up the soil and bringing the bugs out in the open. Maybe this is the source of the phrase, “Having a field day?” To be a bit more accurate, the bird count was probably around 75, but the sight was really impressive. The GRAB driver told Brian that when they were born, they were completely black!
