My session at the cafe yesterday really helped me get past the emotional exhaustion of being at the hospital most of the day, not knowing who we were going to see, when we were supposed to see them, and how many we were going to see – all while trying to keep my husband from taking out his oxygen cannula.
I have a new Thai scene in mind to start today. As usual lately, it’s totally out of my comfort zone in drawing. I’ll take it slow, doing the best I can, and hope for the best. :0)

Today I’m getting ready for my housekeeper and then enjoying all my usual pasttimes. Brian and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of one of our favorites – a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, ham, salad and dressing wrapped in a flour tortilla. Usually I bite into it a couple of times and then it’s so messy I put the rest on my plate and use my knife and fork for the rest. Today I was actually able to eat the whole thing like a burrito! With this, we each had half of a small dragon fruit.

This is a beautiful fruit, tastes really sweet and delicious (whether it’s black and white like this one or an incredible shade of bright fuchsia). Quite a fun and elegant breakfast!

so I have my shades up and my windows open to a really nice (relatively cool breeze. I have my fan on, so the fresh air is swirling around, airing things out and making me smile. Whoopie!!!! The temperature will soon warm up, with accompanying humidity, and we’re supposed to get rain starting about 11 this morning, so I’ll have to close everything up and turn on the air filters again, but right now it’s fabulous.

It occurred to me that I am giving you a very limited mental picture of Chiang Mai with my focusing on the old style way of doing business, decorating styles, etc. I will start a series showing you other aspects of Chiang Mai, including the touristy side, so it will flesh out your understanding of this fascinating place.

I had a good walking session at the gym this morning, managing to walk without holding on to the handlebars again without “listing” to the left or right and feeling good. This afternoon I’ll do my water bottle exercises. I’ll also have at least one practice session on my guitar and see if I can make progress on my chameleon puzzle.

Your words are a blessing! Glad to hear from you as always sending light and love.
Thanks so much, Sweet Linda. I appreciate you.
I can barely imagine how exhausted you have been, Linda. It is a LOT for anyone to handle. Give yourself credit and self hugs!
Speaking of a Thai scene, I just finished your sketch from Apr. 7th! It was one of your first Thai scenes with all the wires! I don’t know if I did it justice or not, but will share it shortly on my blog. I wanted to get my Integrating the spirals video done first, but it can wait. Art takes precedence for me today since I am in shoulder/arm/back pain AGAIN. Ugh! I do NOT know what I did, but I have had to take a break from the hanging mobility exercises. And to think, that was what got me out of the pain for the last 2 months! I just don’t know.
On top of that, I am aggravated because I finally had my Zoom call with my new doctor’s office (the one in Maine I went to nearly two months ago for all the testing and blood labs) and they did NOT give me much new information to go on. Plus they wanted $2500 for a membership just to save me on all the prescriptions and supplements they were going to recommend. NOPE! I ordered the bare minimum supplements from them and will discuss the rest with my local naturopathic doctors (husband and wife docs). I’m all slathered up with Stopain and the like, and ordered more of the herb pain tonic too, just to be able to type. I love the piles of smiles ducks, especially at the moment when I can’t force a smile. Hugs!
SO sorry you’re in pain. Do all you can to ease it and then REST as much as you can. Just let everything you can – go. You’ll be in my thoughts. My fairy God frog is sending healing vibrations your way. Take care.
