This one says it all. I think it was made for me.

This is my latest painted sketch. I consider this almost a self-portrait of me over the past two years or so, stuffing my face while piously ordering a DIET coke, looking a bit guilty…

It’s 80 and sunny here. Windows are open, breezes are pouring in, I’m smiling as I type. I’m planning to concentrate on my puzzle today, seeing if I can finally make some good progress. I want to see that beautiful turtle emerge!

I’m doing basic stuff today to prepare for Khun Nong to come clean my place tomorrow, such as changing my sheets, gathering my trash, putting out fresh towels, etc. I will get cash today so I can pay everyone tomorrow for my massage and the cleaning.

Thanks to Linda Smith (thanks, Sweet Linda ❤️) I’m going to try this today.
“Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is a 4,000-year-old traditional Chinese practice that combines slow, gentle movements, deep breathing, and focused meditation to cultivate and balance vital life energy (Qi). It is a mind-body-spirit practice aimed at improving health, reducing stress, and enhancing vitality through dynamic movement or still meditation.”
“Being happy isn’t having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it’s about stringing together all the little things.” ―Ann Brashares, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Yay! That’s what I do, Linda! I learned Qigong from a master about 10 years ago! I don’t do it everyday though, but I probably should.
Love the card!

Thanks, Sheila. I hadn’t heard of QiGong until Linda told me she was doing it and gave me the link. I hope it will be a good addition to my day. I’m glad you liked the card. :0)

I revisited my old post where I’d introduced my master teacher and I needed to read it again. I think you may also like it: https://sheilamurrey.net/2017/04/

I just watched the Qigong video and only some looked familiar. I guess I was taught more advanced techniques! Ha! I will have to check out her other videos. I wish my teacher had put out videos. He was amazing!

I guess it’s like any thing else-each person has their own take on the same thing.

Possibly, but she did title it Beginner. So, I think she may get to what I learned in later videos. ❤️

The verse in the cup does say it all! Your drawing makes me laugh as it reminds me of me as I order double cheeseburger and fries, and a diet coke, and don’t forget the cookie! I hope you enjoy the Qigong video as much as I have! I have watched several Qigong videos on YouTube and this is my favorite! Thank you for the kind words! Have a beautiful day!

I wouldn’t forget the cookie! I tried the video this afternoon and I liked it a lot. I will start doing it AFTER I do either my yoga stretches or my water bottle exercises to help me relax. Thanks so much for introducing me to this, Linda.

Glad you enjoyed it. I do it after my morning stretches. Built in routine helps me be consistent.
