This is one of my all time favorite photos. I think it’s amazing.

I had a visitor to my place this morning. I almost missed him. My window shade was the perfect camouflage for him. If he hadn’t have moved, I wouldn’t have seen him. He was a gecko, little bitty, skinny, body about 2 inches long and longer with his arms, legs, and tail. I watched him, but was too slow and dumb at o-dark-thirty this morning to get a picture of him. I told him that he was free to stay and eat as many bugs as he could find.

We visited my husband this morning at the nursing home. At first we thought he wasn’t going to respond at all, but he got a bit better as the time went on. He was fixated on wanting me to do a “REWARD” sign to hang outside his door, so he could list reward amounts for various things that have gone missing. Who he thinks would see the sign or respond is a mystery. He listed things that we explained had been left for auction in Arkansas when we moved, given to good friends, or we hadn’t had for years and years, but I don’t think we got through. He may be frustrated with me next visit because I don’t have the sign for him… He DID thank us for coming this time!

My changing my afternoon exercise to morning has helped with me actually DOING it, rather than coming up with my inexhaustible supply of excuses. Today I’m having to do my yoga stretches at the normal afternoon time due to our visiting Harvey, but I have the mat on the rug now, looking at me…

Make this a wonderful day!
I LOVE your latest painted sketch, Linda!
And yes, that seems like a better visit with Harvey. Tell him he’s the Reward. ❤️🫠
Love the gecko too!

Thanks, Sheila. She was out of my comfort zone for sure! I’ll tell the gecko you said hi if I see him again.

I love the tree escaping. I also love your painted sketch. The gecko, I would be scared, for sure.
That reward sign was sweet for your Harvey to request. I guess he can’t comprehend all that has happened to him and his life. At least you and your son are constants, so that comforting for him, no doubt.
For some reason, I am not getting your posts again, so I have to find an old one that I saved and connect that way. ( Donna)

Hi, Donna. I’m glad you liked the escaping tree and my sketch. I’m sorry you would be scared of the gecko. He’s little bitty and cute, doesn’t bite, eats bugs, keeps a low profile… I’m grateful that Harvey seems calm and comfortable each time we go. The rest is different every time, so we just concentrate on trying to meet his needs while we’re there. I’m sorry about your interaction with the blog website. I truly don’t know what’s going on. Here’s the url if that helps. https://creativeartworksblog.com/

I do my exercises in the morning as I find my energy is lower in the afternoon. I save my afternoons for reading or knitting if I have a project going. In Fl we see th geckos all the time however, they still unnerve me!
