The Dodo
We had a very busy day. I’ve been out since 5:30 this morning and am just home with dinner coming shortly.
I walked my mile on the treadmill at the gym, showered, changed clothes, ate breakfast with Brian. I had a beautiful massage from Wey-o, who takes such wonderful care of me. I came back to the condo, changed clothes again, and Brian and I went to visit Harvey. We came back in time for me to grab my book, sketchbook and pencil supplies and my jacket – we had to vacate so that my wonderful housekeeper, Khun Nong, could come clean. (I’m still thrilled when I say this. I may never get ‘used to’ having help.) We went next door to the cafe, where Brian worked and I did a combination of drawing, reading, and catching up on my phone.
I came back to this –

This was left by Khun Nong. Aren’t they lovely? AND I have a spotless place!
I left her my usual thank you painted card. The cards are always gone when I come back,. I’m not sure she actually likes them, or just takes them so as to spare my feelings … She has also made my fake green leaves that usually live in this pot disappear once again. Do you suppose she might be trying to send me a message about them?
Brian will call me for dinner any minute now. I think we’re both tired from a really full day. Mostly a really good day. Lucky, lucky us!π
Yes, she might be sending you a message that fresh flowers are best. How lovely! And I hope your visit with Harvey was good too! A mile on the treadmill is aWEsOMe, Linda!

I agree that fresh flowers and plants are best. I’m waiting to find a way to transport several plants at the same time, or find a place that delivers. I think she is awesome, leaving such a beautiful surprise. Thanks for your encouragement on my exercise efforts. I’m trying to do my yoga stretches and the back exercises that the doctor suggested, too. Hopefully this combination will work well in getting me in better shape. The visit with Harvey was really stressful. He said he missed us, but that was the ONLY thing he said that made sense. It’s a definite challenge. Thanks for asking.

Sure thing, Linda (about encouragement). I hear you. Sometimes I think thatβs all I can or need to do for others. Listen/read and encourage/support. I know it helps me too when Iβm encouraged/supported. Hugs!
I know challenges come in life. Weβve had some this week too. But you always help get me through! Somehow. Some way.
I think youβll find a flower or plant nursery there that can deliver to you. I hope so anyway!

Having some one who has been there, or who IS there trying to send encouragement is one of the most precious things in life. The knowledge that we are not alone. Someone understands and hears you. Iβm very happy we met, Sheila. We will hang in there together.

Most of the day was good, Raj. The visit with Harvey was depressing and exhausting, though. We will deal with it the best we can.
