My Latest Dumbness

It’s a little embarrassing to admit how dense I can be, but when it’s staring you in the face , there’s nothing to do but own up to it and laugh.

If the bathroom sink had been deep enough, I would have just washed my hair in the sink and asked for directions on getting the water on in the shower until the next day. I fiddled around until finally, almost by accident, I pulled on apart that turned on the water! HOORAY! Then I discovered you turned that same part to control the water temperature. EUREKA! 😊

When Brian came to get me for breakfast, I had turned off all the lights except one remaining in the bathroom. I had looked everywhere inside the bathroom and the outside wall, but couldn’t find the switch.

He went into the bathroom and came out again smiling – always a bad sign. It turned out there was a skylight in the ceiling! 😂🤣

  1. Haha! Oh, we have done similar things, Linda! I sooo agree about laughing it off.

A few days ago I bought a new supplement to try (to relieve tinnitus) and it had a blue cap. I removed the cap and set it on the counter in front of me. I took the supplement and then opened another one that had a white cap on it. I put the white cap back on and went looking for the other cap. I couldn’t find it anywhere! After checking the trash and other side of the counter (retracing my steps), I returned to find it right where it had been, in front of me! Then, I realized my brain didn’t process it because it was a BLUE cap! Ha! I howled laughing!! Richard thought I had lost my mind! And apparently I had—at least momentarily. And so it begins.

Those skylights get you every time. Last year in New Zealand, there was one in our room and of course daylight was going on forever all night and we couldn’t get any sleep.

    • Ooh, I like this one in the bathroom, but I totally agree that one in the bedroom would be awful. It sounds like whoever thought that up should be shot – or be forced to sleep in that room ! Maybe one in the kitchen would be good… I still laugh at myself for not being able to find the switch. Never even thought about looking UP! 🤪
