This is the wood-burned and painted piece I finished yesterday. I really enjoyed working on it, and already have another piece in mind to try. I listed it on my Etsy site last night.
We’re having a crock pot dinner tonight – not at all Christmas-like – a request from my husband for a chicken dinner he really liked the last time I cooked it.
My husband slept in this morning and our animals staged a protest, going up and down the stairs, meowing (in the case of Monster Cat, I think) and wagging her tail against the bedroom door (in the case of Amber) who sounds like the world may be coming to an end. It doesn’t seem to bother her to beat her tail against something with vigor. I would think it would hurt… Anyway, the message was delivered, my husband got up and came downstairs, and our Christmas Day was officially started.
what a great job you did on that piece. Your job of working on it shows.
Merry Christmas.

Wow. Thanks so much. Now I’m walking about 3 inches off the ground. Merry Christmas to you, as well. :0)

Oh, Monster cat! Ha! I would think that would hurt too! Silly girl, Jet.
I love your burned art! This is aWEsOMe, Linda! Now, I just read a frog outside one’s door brings good luck and prosperity. If you might consider doing a similar one with a frog? I have a spot to hang it outside of our front door (in enclosed porch). Just sayin’
Merry Christmas!

Just started one today with a cockatoo, but I’ll put the frog on my list. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks so much, Debra. I’m really having a lot of fun doing this wood burning and painting combination. I posted another one I just finished on the blog this morning. I learn with each one and grin like a nut while I’m working. Thanks for writing. I’m glad you like it.
