these musicians all look so miserable..my father was a musician and any time he had an instrument, guitar, banjo, uke, violin etc in his hands he had a smile on his face! So sorry these folks are as miserable & down trodden as they are unkept!
You do have a good point, Carol. I think MAYBE the artist was trying to portray the fact that music makes us FEEL. I wish I knew who the artist was so that I could look to see if he/she also portrayed the intense joy and happiness music can bring. I personally love the fact that music takes you back to where you were when you first heard it, allowing you to shed years, aches, pains, and worry. I think retirement places and nursing homes, hospitals, and even schools should allow music to be a prime part of the atmosphere. It sounds like your father was immensely talented. How lucky you are to have grown up with that kind of creativity! Thanks so much for writing. Here’s to our love of music, musicians, and singers.
