I’m sending hope and good wishes to Florida, hoping that Milton isn’t as bad as forecast. I’m hoping that the responders on the ground can act quickly to help people affected. The two people I know are not in the mandatory evacuation areas, so I’m hoping they’ll be safe.
We have lots of errands this morning, but should be home by lunch time.
The APRN who saw my husband and me at the doc’s office yesterday was pleased with my weight loss efforts. She wants me to drink a protein shake daily, start a new medication and return in three months. Hopefully this combo of losing more weight, the shakes, and the med will result in good improvement in January.
At lunch we discovered our TV channels weren’t coming up. The problem turned out to be a system-wide problem that the TV provider was having, rather than us, particularly. He didn’t know when it would be fixed, so we enjoyed a movie from our collection last night.
Stay safe and well.
I hear you. I start new hormone meds today and have been doing a weight loss protocol with Super Patches for the last month and will continue as I experience progress (because it’s easy). I do eat clean whole foods, but eat out once every week or two. We eat out less now than we did when we lived in Florida. I am also back to drinking a green smoothie every morning and an apple for a snack instead of crackers.
We are also following the storms and I have blogged about both the cleanup after Helene and the progress of Milton. We are so glad we moved to New Hampshire this past May!!

I’m SO glad you’re not having to worry about Milton personally now, and are ‘safe’ in New Hampshire. Good luck on the new hormones. It’s sometimes hard to get hormones under control. I hope your body handles it smoothly. I’m fighting a decrease in renal function (I’m old), so I’m hoping I can get the prescription going soon. Good luck on your weight, too, Sheila.

Thank you, Linda. I hope you get the renal issues worked out too!
We just happened to stumble upon an Integrative medicine physician who specializes in hormones here, can you believe that??? I had only called her for my husband! Now, she’s fixing me up too! Ha! Life’s funny that way sometimes I think.
Much love and many blessings!
