This lady takes the idea of traditional embroidery and stands it on its ear. I can’t say enough about the creativity and skill shown here. There are no ‘patterns’ available for things like this. The fact that she can make the shirt ‘denim’ and the hair highlighted and simply gorgeous blows me away.
The creativity extends to the locations of the backgrounds and the poses of the girls.

Embroidery is not my thing, but all I can say is wow! Really beautiful and the fact that she uses thread to convey different textures is amazing! Her work almost seems like paintings! 😺

There was a time when it was mandatory (sort of) at school to learn cross stitch embroidery and I remember liking it . . . but when I really enjoyed it was when my mom bought me these embroidery by number patterns (just like with painting kits). I won a contest at school with one of those patterns! I said it’s not my thing because I can’t see very well now, even with glasses. I’m sure I would do a needlepoint number on my hand instead! lol 😸

What a wonderful story, Susy. I would have enjoyed the embroidery patterns, too, and I loved paint by numbers. Good for you on winning the contest! :0) I need glasses for my glasses, but I try to do art anyway.
