Poor Amber was bitten/stung by ‘something’ yesterday. The whole side of her mouth was swollen, but she didn’t seem to be in any pain. I have no clue what we’re dealing with.
She is better this morning, with much less swelling. She had a good appetite this morning and drank some water. I’m monitoring her. She’s in Molly’s small bed, seemingly comfortable, sleeping off and on.
Since she’s somber (but still wagging her tail) I’m hoping she learned to stay away from whatever it was in the future that stung or bit her.

Poor baby!

Yeah. My heart goes out to her. She is perking up, though, acting more like herself. The swelling has definitely gone down. She wanted to ride in the truck when we took it out to the shop to change the tires. She played with the cats, and kept coming back to check on us. Hopefully, she’ll be MUCH better tomorrow.

Thanks, Robin. I’m relieved that she’s jumping around, happy to see us this morning, eating as usual, and the swelling is down again. Whew!

Glad she’s feeling better. I’ve read that if a dog or cat (any animal, in fact) seems to feel bad, it’s really, really sick. Not like us humans who can moan and groan over anything. 😊

You’re right, KT. Amber is SO much better this afternoon. She still has some swelling, but she’s laughing and playing the way she usually does. She ate well this morning, and has seemed to have a good day. Hopefully, she’ll be that much better tomorrow.

Yes, and she’s even better this morning, thank goodness, and is her usual overly-rambunctious self! :0) Thanks, KT.
