We THINK we MAY have solved my Internet problem – finally. I’m almost afraid to even whisper it, since I’ll have it, and then halfway into an email, it’s gone again. But I’m keeping all appendages crossed and I’m trying to “hold my mouth right” in hopes my access will continue.
My husband ordered and installed a new Ubit 8111F Network Adaptor Card today.
We’ve had a really mysterious situation around here – intensely frustrating – that my husband has Internet, the modem shows that I have a good connection, but I can’t access anything.
Anyway, communicating with you is quite difficult, or impossible, from time to time. I’ll keep getting through when possible. I long to be able to take the Internet for granted again – at least for several minutes at a time!

How frustrating ! I hope this is the fix that you need ! I do not know what I would do if I could not access the Internet!! Keeping my fingers crossed and sending positive thoughts your way !!

Thanks for your good thoughts, Stephie. I really appreciate them. So far, it seems to be the “Internet God” who decides whether or not I have access or not. We’ve changed out everything, and it didn’t work. Then, when I came back in after doing something else, I had it. I’m just trying to work with it when I have it while we keep trying to figure out what else could be the issue with my computer!
