Dear Ms Linda Lewis,
I am an editor from Oxford University Press (China) and writing to request the right to use this Button panda ” photo which is designed by the little button box in our new publication for pre-schoolers. The said publication is one of the titles in our new textbook series for Chinese teachers and students in kindergartens in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. We would like to cover different aspects of art in this title. It will be highly appreciated if you could grant your permission to use the photo in our book and provide us with a high resolution file of 300 dpi preferable by 17 January 2019.
Below is some info of the title for your reference:
Pub year: 2019
Age: 3-6 year-olds
Format: Books
Distribution areas: Hong Kong & Mainland China
Print run of 1st edition: 10,000 copies
We are looking forward to receiving your reply.
Thank you very much.

Hi Linda
I can’t find an email address to email you directly, but it appears comments have to be moderated before they are posted. I am the copyright holder of this photo, and while I have no issue with you including it in your blog, I do have an issue with it being included in a publication without my knowledge or consent. Please confirm what you told the Oxford University Press with regards to the photo?
Thank you
Emma

Emma,
I looked at the blog post again and added your name as credit for the great panda. I’m not following you on the Oxford University Press. I got the photo looking online for ‘button art,’ since I love that medium so much. I found your panda and included it on my blog. If I can help in any way, please write again and let me know.
