Supplies Part of Pantry – After

Well, it’s about 4 hours later and I’ve finally finished. I HOPE you can see a difference here. I threw out a bunch of stuff. relocated other stuff, and reorganized what was left so that the things we use most often are the most accessible.

I also tried to organize things so my husband can find what he’s looking for easily.

My husband noticed that things were ALL over the kitchen when it was time for me to fix lunch. We managed amid the complete chaos. He then noticed all the stuff that was in the kitchen had made it ‘somewhere else.”  He made one suggestion on moving the instant pot to the place I had the salad spinner, “since I never used that anyway.” I shooed him out with a big smile and left them where they were…

I’m feeling much better since I found some things I had lost. Everything is much cleaner now, and I think I have things where I want them. If not, I have a GREAT start on another move-around!

  1. Wow Linda, you have been very effective 😀
I need to find inspiration to do the same, even my storage don’t cover so much, but I have some reparation to do in the room too, so at least one days job, when I do it….

    • Thanks for the kind words, Irene. I feel good that I’ve cleared the decks for cooking sugar-free, as well as low carb. (My husband asks, “If you take out the sugar and the carbs, there’s nothing left!” :0) Today I’m planning to work in our master bathroom. I have overflowing shelves, drawers, etc. This will be a several day job, so I’ll need to figure out where to put things until I can get it all fixed…

    • Oh, thank you, Stephie. I appreciate the feedback. As you’ll see on the blog this morning, I’m moving to another disaster area – our master bath. Years in the making, even I’ve decided enough is enough. I’m glad you’re inspired. It’s really hard to do anything like this when you have others in your home. You’re such generous people. I admire you.

    • Thanks very much, Aly. It had been too long since I cleaned it out. I find the more room you have, the more ‘stuff’ you stuff into it. The pantry was one of our priorites when we had the house built over 30 years ago. NOW I’m trying to go through, room by room, and do the same thing I did in the pantry. Never-ending job… Thanks for writing, and good luck on YOUR cleanout. Let me know how it goes.
