A pet peeve of mine is misuse of the word ‘fact.’
fact
/fakt/
noun
- a thing that is known or proved to be true
Too many people say things such as, “This is a true fact.” What rubbish!
The word ‘fact’ is much like the word ‘pregnant.’ Either you are or you aren’t.
