I have some things I’ve found that haven’t fit in my posts lately, but I think they’re wonderful and wanted to share them with you –
Anela Nikolik-Pinterest – I just LOVE the texture on this happy dog painting!Ania Obaid-@afra_art56 on X Isn’t this wonderful? The HOURS and care it took for him to create this! I hope he has grandchildren – plus their friends – who can come an enjoy this, and I would LOVE to see his face when they do!boar-Displate-prints on metal – I’m not sure where these people get the artwork, but it’s always special and it is always printed on metal, which apparently enhances the effect. I just love it. Cathy Debatisse-Pinterest I laughed when I saw this, loving the humor, as well as the obvious expertise. mama weir-Pinterest – beautiful work. It’s hard to believe it’s done with a chainsaw.
I have more, but I’ll share them at another time. I hope you enjoyed seeing these.
I’ve been finding and collecting pictures for some time now that I’m not sure I understand. Two of them for sure seem to be the same artist.

I find them from time to time on Pinterest. Never any artist attribution. Never any other information.

I love the art work. I’m not sure if this is real wood carving or AI or what.

I’ve tried looking up the people who posted these on Pinterest, but that hasn’t helped.

I love whatever this is. I think it’s very distinctive. Maybe this is a game character or series character.

If you know anything more about this boy or the artist, please let me know.
UPDATE: One of my readers kindly wrote, telling me that the mysterious boy is from a book called, “The Little Prince.” The French artist’s name is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who both wrote and illustrated the book with watercolors, described as integral to the story.

My new drink holder – lovingly machined from aluminum by my husband over LOTS and LOTS of hours at the lathe so that the cat won’t dump my cold drinks.
(He made one for himself several months ago because HE kept dumping his drinks onto the tray table next to his chair and the carpet. It worked really well, so when Jet (aka Monster Cat) started giving me problems, I asked if he would make ME one. He made mine deeper than his for more stability, he says. Mine weighs 11.3 oz. His 7.8 oz.
Mine is on the left. I used it last night and it works beautifully. I put a marble coaster on top so Jet can’t just walk over and drink from my glass the way she wants to, and though it’s possible she could still dump my drink, it’s much less probable. HOOORAAAY!
I appreciate art work of all types. I can look at a painting and appreciate the expertise that went into it, its inherent beauty – but unless it SPEAKS to me – makes me FEEL something, it isn’t really ‘art’ to me.

I want to REACT when I see a photo, a painting, a sculpture. I might want to TOUCH it to fully appreciate the 3-D-ness or texture. I might tear up. I might smirk or laugh. I might be so touched I feel as if I melted into a puddle. I might wish I could BE there. I want to BE different because I saw it.

As I travel around on the net, I gather things I love. Sometimes I end up with enough from one artist to feature him or her in a post. Other times I only find one thing and just enjoy them awhile and then share them with you.

Somehow I just needed to be “eased-into” today with something soft, fragile, and beautiful. I don’t know for sure if these are paintings or photos, but I think they’re exquisite.
“When I offer to wash your back in the shower, all you have to say is ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Not all this “Who are you and how did you get in here?” nonsense.”
Pinterest – I love this. I wish I knew who the artist is. I almost expect these sweet little girls to move!
I’m going to go upstairs in a bit and work on the glassware project. I received the kit of diamond bits for the Dremel. My husband confirmed that I’m SUPPOSED to be able to simply pull the current bit out of the Dremel and push the new one in. Time will tell…
String Art is another area that is evolving beyond belief. I love the whole idea of this art form, and I’m amazed at the creativity shown by the artists. Here is the latest one I’ve found. It simply knocks my socks off.
Today is my favorite Thursday of the month – the Thursday I get a massage. Ahhhhhhh!
My sore muscles, stiff places, pops and crackles all wait impatiently each month for Lynn’s attention. The stars align and it’s my morning to go enjoy her healing hands.
If I won the lottery, I would probably ask her for more, but I’m very grateful for the one Thursday I feel totally relaxed each month.
Each time when she gets finished, I tell her ‘thank you,’ and ‘good night,’ hoping she could simply leave me there…
I use this to play some of my favorite songs when I’m on my elliptical trainer. I have earphones attached and can ‘zone out,’ lost in the wonderful world of music, transported, singing along while I try to do good things for my body.
This is a very old player. Almost everything we own nowadays is ancient when we try to get parts, get things fixed, try to find another one like it to replace what we love – when we’re forced to.
I’ve done two 10-minute sessions on the elliptical trainer recently. I got out my mp3 player and started on the elliptical, only to find my player wasn’t working. After the first session, I came in, plugged it in to recharge it (it had been a LOOOOOONG time since I used it). A day or so later, I did the 2nd session on the elliptical, but the player wasn’t working. I plugged it in AGAIN, this time leaving it ‘on’ while recharging.
This morning my husband told me to order another one. I went to check it to make sure it was, indeed, unchargeable, and found IT WAS PLAYING!
So, like ME, it seems to have some life in it yet. I’ll be using it later today when I have another session on the elliptical scheduled. Fingers crossed both it – and I – are working.
I found this yesterday and wanted to share it with you. I don’t even know what I’m looking at – whether it’s an actual waterfall, a painting, a photoshop – but whatever it is, I LOVE it.
Art is all around us. Sometimes I find the work of an artist who is new to me and I share it with you. More often I find things on Pinterest that I love one at a time. I wanted to share a few that I’ve found lately –
I couldn’t find any information on who made this. It makes my heart melt. Mysterious Night – Leonid AfremovTwinkling Eyes-Pavel Guzenko-Artmajeur.comSimon O’Rourke-tortoiseSimon by Hippopottermiss-DeviantArtlivemaster.ru
