I think this drawing is stunning.
More than that, though, is my reaction to it. I’m fascinated by this man’s face. I want to get to know him, talk to him, and hopefully, make him smile.

I’m not fond of the title of this portrait. I think the man looks distinguished, interesting, and wonderful. I think the portrait is wonderful, though.
I would love to MEET this man. He looks like he has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. Doesn’t he have a wonderfully kind face?

I’m fascinated by people. Their faces, in particular, are wonderful. I find it hard not to stare when someone has an arresting face.
One time my husband and I were at an informal office party. I just couldn’t take my eyes off this one young man’s eyes. They were the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen, before or since. He finally met my eyes, and I was embarrassed to be caught staring at him. Later I met his significant other, who was a friend and co-worker of my husband. I told her what I had done, apologizing for my rudeness. She laughed, saying she had done the same thing. :0)
People can be attractive, but the thing that gets my attention is character. It always shines through like a beacon.
I hope you find these faces as fascinating as I do. At least we can look our fill without being rude.
