Angry!
- We have another raccoon (#8) and he trashed our feeders after eating all the seed last night. Amber woke us up barking at him.
- My husband INSISTED we NOT leave our trash at the bottom of the drive when we were leaving for errands. He was insistent that the guys don’t come until afternoon and the animals would get our trash and leave it all over for us to pick up again. We got home to find all the trash cans in our area empty. They had come and gone and we still have our trash. It is now back in the garage to wait until we put it out NEXT Tuesday, along with the trash we gather between now and then….
- We were sleeping happily after lunch and the phone rang. We have an answering program that asks the caller if ‘he is human and is NOT selling anything” to push a button before we hear it ring. It turned out to be someone asking ‘for the business owner.’ I asked if he spoke English. He said, “yes.” I asked if he listened to the message on the phone. He said, “yes.” I asked him if he REALLY thought that I would buy anything he was selling when he listened to the message and pushed the button anyway. He was silent. I waited several seconds and then hung up. Too angry to try to go back to sleep, I’m up now and ready to bite someone in the leg. Watch out.

My heart is in a puddle under my chair as I type. I think this should be an award-winning photo, at least. and I will keep it for whenever I need a quick pick-me-up. :0)
It’s nice and sunny here, but only 15 degrees right now. We’re supposed to get to 37 by this afternoon, so I’m happy.
I will join a friend for Lunch Bunch. One of the group is recovering from a hospital procedure and another is out of town. My husband has the sniffles, and so will stay home, leaving the two of us at lunch today. I’ll take it. It’ll be nice catching up with her.

Thoughts on a Tuesday 11-30-2021
My heart melted into a puddle when I saw this photo. :0)
We have errands starting in a bit, and then I want to play in my art room today. I’ve had an idea rattling around in my head for several days, and dreamed about it last night, so I’ll see if I can paint it today.
We turned off our irrigation system and most things are looking sad in the yard right now, and NOW, of course, we’re having “Indian Summer” with temperatures into the 60’s. Our wave petunias are still doing pretty well, though, so I’ll try to get some pics today to share with you. I’ll also start neatening things up in the planters while the weather is nice.
This is the last day of November. Hard to believe we’ll be into the last month of the year tomorrow. My hair is blowing as the time blows past.

A Smile to Start April 2020
Aaron and Lenny help us enjoy April. No fooling.
I found the Austrailian Firefighters fundraising calendar online several months ago. I loved the idea of great looking firefighters with cute dogs to celebrate each month while bringing needed funds to the firefighters. This was before they had all the awful bush fires there.
I’m happy to share the gorgeous guys with you each month. I hope that you will consider buying a calendar each year, or maybe one for yourself and others as gifts for the new year, to aid their fundraising efforts and bring yourself a mile each month. AustralianFireFightersCalendar.

Thoughts on a Saturday 10-26-2019
Cheap Trip
Our weather is 53 degrees F. and raining, so it’s a great day to stay inside, feeling grateful for a warm, dry home. I put together a keto crock pot chili recipe (thanks to Suzanne Ryan, Simply Keto) so we can look forward to a nice comfort meal this evening.
I’m finishing the last plaque in the 5 plaque series using my new Unicorn Spit Stain/Glaze kit sent to me by my wonderful sister-in-law and FRIEND, MaryLou. It’s truly the gift that keeps on giving. I’m going to also try it on some glass Christmas ornaments I have, plus some flat wooden ornaments next. :0)
Since my body told me quite clearly Tuesday morning that it really NOTICED that I hadn’t exercised Monday, I’m actually finding it easier to work in my elliptical session and my yoga session daily. I don’t HAVE to do them at some particular time ( a SURE recipe for failure, since things always come up -giving me an excuse to skip it). I do rest in-between the two sessions, but that’s the only limitation.
I’m doing 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer

Why Kol
I’m enjoying book #38 “Concealed in Death” (of the 50 in the series so far) of J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) “In Death Series.” I make myself wait until the books come out in paperback and then read the whole series again before I give myself permission to read the newest one I’ve bought for my collection. Even though the main character, Eve Dallas, is a homicide cop, I find her, and all the people in her world, fascinating. I feel extremely lucky to have found several favorite authors who allow me to dive into the worlds they create and live there awhile each day. :0)
I’m enjoying bouncing from exercise – to cooking – to playing in my art room – to reading – to taking dogs out – and back again today. I hope your Saturday is a satisfying one, too.
