I researched and found a place called, “Balloon Adventures Thailand” that sells rides of various lengths on hot air balloons. You can arrange for a 45 minute trip, for example, to get a bird’s eye view of Chiang Mai!

I have put this in my “Wish List” of things I would love to do, see, experience, buy, etc. that I’m keeping for when things tame down, when we have the time, when it’s appropriate, when we win the lottery – depending on the size and cost of the wish. 😃

Since we are now starting “The Cool Season” (the major time tourists come to Thailand) I’m hoping to see more hot air balloons as I look out my window.

I love hot air balloons too, Linda! I think from The Wizard of Oz. I’ve always wanted to ride in one, but my husband is scared. Too many accidents (he says) with them. But with maybe less power lines there in Thailand you would not have to worry about those. He did take me up a few hundred feet in the one at Downtown Disney in Orlando a few years back. It was tethered to the ground, but at least it was better than not going at all!
