I had a mostly wonderful day today, starting a 6am on the treadmill in the gym, followed by a fabulous masssage by Khun Wey-o.
I quickly changed my clothes and Brian and I went to see Harvey at the nursing home. He was full of gripes and impossible expectations, conspiracy theories, etc., and we’re having to make some difficult decisions going forward. He did tell us that he missed us just before we left, but the rest of the time was very challenging. We are talking with the owner of the nursing home and changing some things with her help.
We got back just in time to grab my book and my jacket and we headed for the coffee shop next to the condo to make ourselves scarce while my wonderful housekeeper (!) was in my place cleaning. π
We had dinner and now it’s almost time for bed. (Getting up at 5am changes your seriousness about bedtime and trying to get enough sleep.)
Thankfully, we have a pretty quiet weekend ahead.
Aww, about Harvey, and I hear you about getting to sleep earlier in the evening. Same here. Though I havenβt been waking up at 5am to work out. I have been waking up in the middle of the night, most nights lately. Iβm not sure why. Perhaps itβs a feeling of impending doom due to all the current war stuff. Ugh
Iβve also had acid reflux the last few nights and must make some changes in that regard.
Youβre doing the best you can, Linda. Hugs!

I’m sorry about the acid reflux and difficulty sleeping. It’s hard to try to close out what’s happening around you, shut off the what if scenarios, etc., and try to eat and sleep as if things were normal when they definitely aren’t. The only thing that is helping me lately is my yoga stretches. Concentrating on deep, quiet, stretches calms me down enough to get some rest, although I seem to look at the clock off and on several times most nights. I hope you find something that works for you. I’ll be trying to send calming vibrations in your direction. Take care.

I’m doing well, thanks, Raj. I reorganized my closet, so it’s good now, whether I can open the far doors all the way or not, with the new bedside table there. We get the table Wednesday, but I think my fears in the middle of the night weren’t necessary.
