This is the jigsaw puzzle I am trying to put together. I love owls, and the colors this has I think are wonderful.

The very BEST part is that I now have a “jigsaw puzzle table” and the puzzle is OUT, very close to the door, where everyone visiting can see it for as long as I am working on it! I may even coax a person or two to sit down and work on it with me. π
Brian is coming down to pick me up to run errands around 10- 30-ish. We had to wear our “Thailand Rainsuits” again this morning to go to the gym and back for our workout. As we were putting them on before venturing into the downpour, a lady who works at the condo building came out to ask Brian how his dad was. From his gestures, Brian told her that some things were better, but that his dad remains very, very confused at the nursing home. I am so amazed and pleased that people all over the building are so kind and caring to ask. He has obviously made quite an impression here.
When we get finished with our errands, I’m going to spend part of the afternoon using my new step stool to see what is up high in my place. I will get it cleaned out and use it as good storage places.
I think I told you that I have headphones with my computer for the first time ever. Brian got a set for Harvey and me so that we didn’t drive each other crazy with sounds. I’ve told you I came out of the hospital with a large hearing loss for which we are now looking for hearing aids. My husband would drive me out of our office in the states with the high volume on the gory movies he loved. The headphones would make it possible for us to each watch a movie with volumes set where we wanted them, sitting side by side, without bothering each other, or one could watch TV and the other work at the computer with the headphones that canceled out the noise of the other. Even though I am by myself in the condo, I have neighbors who might not enjoy my choice of YouTube videos or TV movies, so I wear the headphones. Last night I tried it, playing a documentary of Jelly Roll! βΊοΈ

I have been finding drawings I like on YouTube and Pinterest and trying to reproduce them in my sketchbook. I’ve been using regular pencils, colored pencils, and recently bought a set of watercolors. Since the whirlwind of our lives is calming down a bit now, I’ve been having a blast simply playing in my art alcove, enjoying the process under no pressure to try to make something I hope someone will like enough to buy. Can you see me grinning? π
I love those owls too! What glorious colors!! I just love how you find the most beautiful art, Linda. And puzzles are a grand hobby! Of course your drawing and watercolor skills are amazing too! I know you always find something to draw and keep busy. Careful on that step stool! I can feel you grinning about that!
And Jelly Roll?!? Wow! You amaze me, Linda! I should find that as I know nothing about him, other than seeing him on a couple different music awards shows. On one song I wasnβt impressed, but he must have some talent to get as far as he has! And I canβt really judge someoneβs voice from one live song since I know everyone can have an off day or poor sound system to push the sound out, etc.
I definitely agree about the headphones at home. I bought some for my husband when we moved here because he never had children and our 8 year old twin granddaughters like to pop in every now and then and they are rambunctious and loud! Haha! He can escape to his laptop or watch TV and ignore us.

Iβm glad you like the puzzle. That was the first thing Brian said about the step stool, too. I will be very careful.
Jelly Roll grows on you. He writes honestly about what he knows and is quite the philanthropist as well. I think headphones are definitely marriage savers.

I love owls, too, and that will definitely be something for you to get excited about as you put it together.
I know you will be careful on that step stool, as you have been advised by several people who truly care about you and your wellbeing.
We bought headphones for our son years ago before he was married, and it was wonderful, as he could listen to what he enjoyed and so could we.

The puzzle is going slowly so far, but each day reminds me that it isnβt bothering anyone by being there! Such a luxury!! I WAS careful and got things thrown away from the former tenant, creating storage. I think headphones are one of the greatest inventions ever. Iβm glad you got one for your sonπ

I love jigsaw puzzles! But with a cat around it is almost impossible to work on one. I haven’t done one since I got Foster in 2016. But I used to do them a lot. π± Much as I know you miss your cat, at least she’s not messing up your puzzle π

Well, I hear THAT! Thanks for reminding me that I had more than one reason for not being able to enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles. Right now, it’s the lack of time and energy! We’ve been going at such a pace and getting up so early in the morning to go to the gym, that I haven’t had much time and bedtime comes soon. When things tame down around here and we get into more of a routine, I’ll have a couple of free time blocks here and there, and I’ll use them to wring out as much joy as I can. π
