More Good News

They removed Harvey’s feeding tube today!!!! HOORAY!!

Also, they did another therapy session while Bri and I took a break. We asked him if he sat up and stood up and he said “yes”.
He was awake and alert when we entered the room, and squeezed my hand, plus one other part I won’t mention which really proves he is definitely “in there”.😂

      Yes! He forgets to swallow, or refuses to swallow after each bite or sip, and then hurries to stuff food into his mouth without swallowing when trying to feed himself, but the first step was getting rid of the tube. Good thing there are knowledgeable, patient people working with him. Changing to the low carb diet has made a huge difference in his alertness, ability to follow directions, other than swallow many times, and progress in the larger physical therapy of sitting and standing.
