This is a quilt! The talent and creativity of people on this planet completely blows my mind. I just LOVE this.

In my more ‘real’ world, I started a new wood-burned sign yesterday. The more wood burning I do, the more excited about it I get. I’m getting a bit better, with a bit better technique, better understanding of what I can do with the various tips, and I’m feeling a bit more free to ‘play’ even more. It’s a real quality of life thing for me when I find a new avenue that makes ideas simply spurt out of me. I’m having SUCH a good time!

This is my weight chart over the past week. Talk about a roller coaster! I did splurge when I got aggravated at my husband and was making turkey sandwiches at 9 pm for a very delayed dinner one night. I ate real bread, so that caused a spike. The other spikes were water retention, I think. Hopefully, the latest DOWNWARD line will continue. I really want there to be less of me.

My big chore for the day is going out at 3pm to monitor the irrigation units. I switched things recently to have each one run for 15 minutes, making sure they came on as scheduled. I just checked things, though, and everything is drying up. I’ll go out today and see what’s happening. Maybe we have another blowout somewhere.

I can’t believe school will start again August 12th here. We’ll have to start paying more attention to when we go for errands so that we don’t get stuck behind what my husband calls the “Mommy traffic.” It was so bad at one point where ambulances, fire trucks, and police would have found it impossible to get through in case of emergencies. I wrote the schools and they decided to change the start and end times of one of the two schools between us and town, freeing up the traffic a bit. We still avoid getting out during those times if we can, though.

Enjoy your hump day.

    • Carol, I replied to your comment, but it got swallowed up in the ozone and disappeared. I am definitely putting the quilt museum on my bucket list. I found their website a few minutes ago, but haven’t had the time to look at it in more detail yet. Thanks so much for letting me know about it. I would love to see it. AND thanks so much for letting me know you enjoy the blog. That means the world to me. :0)

    • No, I haven’t. I just learned about it from another comment. I’m doing some research on it now and will certainly put it on my list of things I would love to see. Thanks so much for writing and telling me about it.
