We were caught in a thunderstorm when we were out this morning. Even having and using my umbrella, the wind was such that I got simply drenched trying to get inside the beauty salon where my husband was to get a haircut. The air conditioning was on in the salon, and then also in the doctor’s office where we waited for a shot for my husband. AND in the grocery store where we made a quick stop before coming home.
We had lunch when we got home, and then I got under my throw in my recliner and tried to ward off the chill I was feeling. The next thing I knew, it was almost two hours later!
I’m not chilled now, but I AM enjoying a cup of coffee, trying to wake up. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten quite THAT wet without conscientiously going out to ‘play’ in the rain before. The sun is shining now and it has warmed up considerably.
I can still hear Mother Nature giggling at me.
