We put up the new mailbox decoration as we left. Wonder Wart-Hog is one of my husband’s favorite comic book characters. This is NOT my favorite, and he was really beyond my painting capabilities, but my husband said it was, “Pretty good,” so I’m happy and relieved.

This is a wonderful tribute piece. Gilbert Shelton (who created WW) is my uncle, and I always love seeing tributes to his work. Well done!

Wow, Gavin. How kind of you to write! I’m so pleased (and relieved, to be honest) that you think we did a decent job of honoring one of the creations of your uncle. Many times we have people stop and ask ‘who does the artwork’ on the pieces we put up. We have a great time doing these and are trying to pay tribute to the cartoon, comic, and graphic novel characters we have loved over the years, plus holiday decorations. Thanks again for taking the time to write. :0)
