After having summer yesterday, it was 36 F. this morning! (It’s 45 right now.) It’s really difficult to get my head to wrap around this. I’ll need to wear a JACKET when I get my hair cut this afternoon!
Fall is my favorite time of the year. I LOVE thinking about fires in the fireplace, warm throws to snuggle under, hot chocolate, sweaters, boots, layers of clothes, being able to work outside without worrying about heat stroke…
The glorious COLORS bring me back to life. Arkansas doesn’t do as well as someplace like Vermont, for example, doing a wonderful display, but it’s good enough. The cooler weather brings me the energy to ALMOST enjoy getting the yard ready for winter.
For today, I’ll just enjoy the IDEA of fall being here, while reading, then napping in my chair under a throw this afternoon.

I’ll try to send cooler weather your way, Irene. It’ll probably go back to being summerish before it settles down here, but it’s NICE to need a hoodie in the mornings and evenings here now. :0)
